BOMA e-EnergyTraining is an energy management course for building operators and managers of commercial and institutional buildings. Delivered online, in a self-learning format, participants learn at their own pace, and have access from remote locations. Upon completion of the course, participants will understand basic energy principles, identify energy reduction opportunities, develop strategies and learn how to influence stakeholders to adopt energy savings behaviour. The program highlights operational and capital project energy management opportunities.

Course tuition of $750 CDN (plus applicable taxes) includes ongoing course support and continued alumni access to all materials after course completion.

Participants will have up to 6 months to complete the course from date of payment.  It is estimated that 20 - 30 or more hours are needed to complete the entire course.

Each module includes interactive exercises and quizzes to help registrants understand key concepts.  The final exam questions are drawn from those asked on quizzes completed and is designed to ensure successful participant comprehension.

Upon exam completion, the certificate is automatically generated as a PDF and is made available for download or printing.



Participants can earn competency credit towards the Energy Management and Controls course as part of the BOMI SMA/SMT program. The course also qualifies for 18 BOMI Continuing Education Credits.
